1GB Mobile Data to be reduced From N1000 TO N390 – said FG

 The Agent Executive of the Nigerian Correspondences Commission, Umar Danbatta uncovered that the Branch of Interchanges and Advanced Economy intends to decrease the expense of 1Gigabyte information from N1000 to N390.

He did so while speaking to a reporter in Kano.

The deputy chairperson said this was part of the new national broadband program for 2020-2025.

Included in the program are the mandatory installation of broadband connections throughout the federation and the deployment of 4G infrastructure across the country.

Read his statement below;

“Actually the cost has dropped to N1,000 / gigabyte of data, but the government says we should point to N390 next. 3 to 5 years.

“We need broadband information framework since when we get to Lagos, where we have all the submarine links.

“We are really running this program. There is an infrastructure and company licensing framework that can enable companies to pay for the sale of information to vendors, who will sell the information to citizens. ”
